2011 JVFOA Annual Meeting

Courtland Virginia, Southhampton County

June 24, 25, 26 2011

We have received confirmation that the Palm Tree Inn  "new" pool will be open, bring your swimming suite.

We have reserved a block of 30 rooms - 12 for June 23-26, and 18 for June 24-26.  (In case some folks come early)

The reservations are under Joseph Vick Family of America.  Reservations must be made  up to 2 weeks in advance - they get cancelled out of the system on 6/9/2011.

24 June - Friday afternoon    free time in Southampton County Courthouse - many records are now on-line-open until 5 pm

  1. 4-5 pm check-in for meeting (pay dues and reunion fees)
  2. Sebrell Civic Club - catered buffet by For Pete's Sake (fried trout and chicken, green beans, potato salad, slaw, rolls, cornbread, fruit cobbler, iced tea
  3. speaker: Mr. Rick Francis, Clerk of the Court - subject: Nat Turner Insurrection

Saturday - June 25th

  1. 7- 8 AM Breakfast
  2.  8 AM Annual Meeting & Elections
  3. 10 AM Board Meeting
  4. 11 AM DNA Research, Data Base Project & Presentations
  5. Noon box lunch – Sbrell Civic Center
  6. 1:30 PM Trip to Heritage Village
  7. 6 PM Pig Picking at Joe Vick’s
  8. 7:30 Silent Auction

Sunday – June 26th

  1. Sunday Services (attend you local Church)
  2. 11 AM Family Networking

Annual Meeting cost is: $55 per person (fees will be collected Friday night)
