Gailen Vick  presented newly published The Vick Genealogy The Study of a Southern American Family in White and Black to James B. Davis, who was the sole benefactor and contributor of the original book Joseph Vick of Lower Parish, Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Mr. Davis advanced the cost of printing the first book and gave the remaining inventory and publishing rights to JVFOA. He is the founder and CEO of Genus Publishing which specializes in printing books on science, history and the natural world.  Davis is a graduate of the University of Oxford and has worked as a journalist and editor for several years.
