Elizabeth A. (Libby) Davis presented The Vick Genealogy The Study of a Southern American Family in White and Black to Michelle of the State Library of Ohio.

Gailen Vick  presented newly published The Vick Genealogy The Study of a Southern American Family in White and Black to James B. Davis, who was the sole benefactor and contributor of the original book Joseph Vick of Lower Parish, Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Mr. Davis advanced the cost of printing the first book and gave the remaining inventory and publishing rights to JVFOA. He is the founder and CEO of Genus Publishing which specializes in printing books on science, history and the natural world.  Davis is a graduate of the University of Oxford and has worked as a journalist and editor for several years.

Craig R. Scott, CG, President & CEO of Heritage Books presented The Vick Genealogy books to Traci Thompson, MLIS,CG who is the Local History/Genealogy Librarian at the Braswell Memorial Library in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. 

Gary Dilley¹⁰, a Vick family descendant, presented The Vick Genealogy books to Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the Alphonse Fletcher University Professor and Director of the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University. Professor Gates will deliver the books to the Harvard University Library, where they will be made available to researchers.
